Christmas Wishlist 2016.

I love making lists, so I thought a good way to start off blogmas this year would be with a Christmas Wishlist! I made one last year and a few of the items I luckily and gratefully received, but it’s been a whole year which means there have been a lot of new product releases as well as discoveries of older items which I am lusting over, so an entirely new list is necessary.

In last year’s wishlist I began being really specific and as I got further into my list it became more vague, so I will hopefully do better this year…

Lipstick Love: Halloween.

IMG_1399.JPG

When I wrote my Lipstick Love post last week dedicated to autumnal lip shades, I realised that there are so many I adore that I would have to create another Lipstick Love post. This time I am focusing on Halloween and I’ve included shades that are on the darker end of the spectrum which would be ideal for both Halloween and autumn in general, as well as some more brighter and unusual shades which I would strictly use for Halloween.

Colourpop Lip Products.

Colour pop Lip Products.jpg

A short while ago Colourpop were offering free international delivery over a certain spend for a limited time, so I jumped on this chance to make an order and bought a lovely handful of lip products. This includes their Lippie Stix, Ultra Satin Lip and Ultra Matte Lip and today I am going to share my thoughts on them now that I have had the opportunity to try them out.

Autumnal Makeup | Collab.

Autumnal Makeup.jpg

Back in spring I did a beauty collaboration with Chanelle from Chanelle Hayley. Because Chanelle lives in New Zealand, she created an autumnal makeup look and I created a spring look, so now that it’s autumn here in the UK, we decided to do the reverse.

For my autumnal look I have gone for a matte neutral brown eye with matte berry lips and to achieve this look I used the newly released Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics eyeshadow palette. I haven’t had the opportunity to experiment with it a whole lot since receiving it, but thus far I am loving it.

Full Face Of: Soap and Glory.

Full Face Of Soap and Glory.jpg

With so many brands to choose from and a diverse range of products within each brand it is difficult to try everything, and sometimes remember what you have and haven’t tried and what you did and didn’t like. So,  I have decided to start a new feature on this blog, Full Face Of ___ in which I focus on a specific brand and explore a selection of their makeup. I haven’t yet decided on how frequently I am going to do these posts, possibly monthly, or every other month.

For this first post I have decided to test out some Soap and Glory makeup. I have wanted to venture into this brand for a while and earlier this year I found two products by this brand which I fell in love with. As a result of this, I have been keen to try out more of their products.

MOTD: September 2016.

MOTD_ September 2016.jpg

I haven’t done a Makeup Of The Day post in ever so long and now that we’re getting into Autumn I feel that there is no better time. Autumn is the season full of my favourite kinds of makeup looks; gold/bronze/copper eyes and dark nudes and berry lips.

Since we’re still only in that little transitional period between Summer and Autumn right now, I haven’t started going full on with my dark and bright shades of red and purple toned lipsticks just yet. However, I have recently discovered this gorgeous brown-y nude shade that everyone has been donning lately with the 90s trend and I have finally jumped on that bandwagon and love it. However, details on this lipstick will come later…

Collective Haul: London Edition.

collective haul london edition.jpg

Last week I spent a few days in London with my best friends. The purpose of the trip was to see the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child which you will hear more about on this blog later this week, but while we were in London we also did plenty of shopping. It is no secret that London is home to a great many of stores which contain products that are not available so easily in the rest of the UK. Of course, there’s online ordering, but when it comes to makeup you want to test it out in person and when it comes to LUSH Oxford Street exclusives, there’s only one place you can go…

Lipstick Love: Work Edition.

Lipstick Love Work Edition.jpg

Lipstick Love is a feature on this blog in which I share with you all my love of lipstick by showing you my favourites. Technically, these aren’t all lipsticks, some may be lip glosses, for example, but they will all be lip products which I love. This was a fortnightly series back in January and February, so if you missed my previous posts they can all be found here.

I work in an office and I start work at 6 am, so nude lipsticks are a must. I mean, it would look a bit alarming and over the top to walk into the office at that time in the morning with a bright lipstick, right? On the other hand, I don’t want my lips to be bare! When I started this job I quickly learnt that not just any nude lipstick will do either, it needs to be moisturising because the air is quite dry. So, here are my top five favourite lipsticks to wear to work:
