Greek/Egyptian Inspired Nails.

I have really fallen in love with gel nails and getting my nails done lately. In case you missed it, I had my nails done four weeks ago too and walked away with some stunning Disney related nails.

This week I went in with a Greek inspired design in mind using the colours white and gold as they feel very summery (although the weather seems to object).

Alice in Wonderland Inspired Nail Art.

Disney Week: Day Three.

In my excitement for Disneyland Paris I decided that I wanted to get my nails professionally done to ensure that they last the duration of my holiday (the last thing I wanted was to be fussing about with nail polish). And this is me, I obviously didn’t want some plain nail design, it had to be something a bit more creative and interesting and it obviously had to fit the theme of Disney.  Continue reading

Rainbow Inspired Nail Art.

“The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain!” – Dolly Parton.

The weather always starts to improve a little in Spring and we get a mix of rainy and sunny days, which leads to rainbows. Easter Inspired Nail Art.

“Everyone loves New York City for all these different reasons. The culture. The mix of people. The pace. The food. But for me, it’s like one epic Easter egg hunt. You’re always finding these little surprises around every corner.” – Gayle Forman.

Easter is quickly approaching, it gets earlier and earlier every year and is the perfect excuse to gobble up a load of chocolate. In celebration of Easter, I have designed a couple of sets of nails full of Easter eggs, chicks and of course, the Easter Bunny.

Chocolate Inspired Nail Art.

“There is nothing better than a friend, unless it is a friend with chocolate.” – Linda Grayson.

Easter is approaching so I thought it would be appropriate to show you all some nail designs inspired by chocolate. As you may have seen elsewhere on my blog, I’ve been getting into all things spring/Easter, so it’s no surprise that I’m writing this post a few weeks before Easter. However, it’s not like I’m the one putting Easter eggs in stores in January, so if you look at it that way I’m right on time.

Nail Art Using Foil.

“Be a lady? Forget it. Ladies don’t last a day in the real word. No one’s a lady anymore. Why do you think we get our claws polished?” – Crystal Woods.

Nail art is so diverse and is much more than simply painting designs with a brush. I’ve spoken on this blog before about several different techniques which are commonly used including gradients, stamping and marbling. This post isn’t going to be a how to – I’m not good enough at the technique myself for that! – rather I’m going to show you two different ways of using nail foils.
