My Favourite Halloween Music.

You’ve probably gotten the impression by now, and rightly so, that I really like Halloween. So, is it really surprising that I have my own favourite Halloween songs? I love the sounds associated with Halloween, creepy and spooky, dark and haunting and so on. I may only rarely bring up the topic of music on this blog, but it is something I listen to a lot, and as a result I thought that today I would share some of the songs on my Halloween playlist.

My Top Five TV Shows for Halloween.

Surprisingly, I don’t discuss TV a lot here on driftinglexi, but I do actually watch a lot of it. For a little change I decided that today I would talk about TV, but with a Halloween spin on it. This means I am going to show you my top five TV shows to watch around Halloween, so this post is going to contain a bit of horror, a bit of fantasy and five TV shows close to my heart…

Note: these TV shows are mentioned in no particular order.

My Favourite Halloween Movies.

I know a lot of my posts have been late recently; it’s the combined struggle of having a new job and the challenge of blogtober, but today it’s late because I went out for dinner with my dad. This isn’t something I’d usually mention, but we went to a pub which was just so festive.

As soon as you walk in, Christmas hits you in the face and honestly, it made me want to leave. However, further in they have a wonderful Halloween display and even better: a stunning selection of Halloween cakes. You can currently see photos of them on my snapchat (driftinglexi), but hurry as come Friday evening they’ll be gone! The Halloween stuff reawakened my love of Halloween which, quite frankly, had only been lying dormant in me for about the previous twenty hours at this point. Regardless, this brings me to the topic of today’s post: my favourite Halloween movies!

Summer Nail Favourites.

Summer Nail Favourites.jpg

Recently, I haven’t been the most creative when it comes to my nails. I’ve either been lazy and simply done them a single colour, or I’ve been really lazy and had a professional do them for me so that I don’t have to touch them for three weeks. So, today I am going to show you my go to summer nail polishes during these times.

June Favourites 2016.

June Favourites 2016.jpg

I have been doing favourites posts for a whole year now, which means I need to start putting years in the titles so that posts don’t get mixed up, ha. This also means that I have been blogging about beauty for approximately a year now; time just goes so fast. Enough of that though, let’s get into my favourites for this month:

May Favourites.

Lately, I have taken to uploading videos on YouTube weekly. As a result, it is the end of the month, so I decided that I would represent this month’s favourites in video format.

This segment really needs no introduction, so let’s hop right into it and don’t forget to head on over to YouTube to give my video a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel.

Spring Nail Favourites.

Spring Nail Favourites.jpg

“Wrong will be right, when Aslan comes in sight,
At the sound of his roar, sorrows will be no more,
When he bares his teeth, winter meets its death,
And when he shakes his mane, we shall have spring again.” – C.S. Lewis.

As a nail art lover I do have my go-to nail polishes every season. In Spring I definitely tend to lean towards the paler, more pastel shades because they feel cool, but colourful as well as fresh. It’s also a lovely change after a winter of dark and sparkly nails.
