Halloween and Giveaway Winner!

I hope everyone is having a wonderfully spooky day. I have spent the whole day tidying and organising whilst watching a lot of Halloween movies. I’ve basically gone through all of the movies from my Favourite Halloween Movies blog post and I literally just finished watching them all and am now moving onto Sweeney Todd. I have never seen this movie before, but with the combination of Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, Alan Rickman, Helen Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen what’s not to love?

LUSH: Monster’s Ball Bath Bomb.

IMG_1311.JPGIt’s the weekend before Halloween and therefore the last of the LUSH Halloween posts! I thought a bath bomb would be a great way to end the Halloween range, so I saved this little monster for last.

This is clearly the cutest monster you’ll ever encounter in it’s mixture of blue and pink with a hint of green on the inside. Why am I explaining when I can show you with the copious amounts of pictures I took…

My Favourite Halloween Music.

You’ve probably gotten the impression by now, and rightly so, that I really like Halloween. So, is it really surprising that I have my own favourite Halloween songs? I love the sounds associated with Halloween, creepy and spooky, dark and haunting and so on. I may only rarely bring up the topic of music on this blog, but it is something I listen to a lot, and as a result I thought that today I would share some of the songs on my Halloween playlist.

Halloween Blog Posts.

I love Halloween, but I cannot promote my Halloween blog posts all year round and there isn’t enough time around Halloween to post all the Halloween blog posts that I want to. As a result of this, I thought it would be nice to share some previous Halloween blog posts I have written which you may have missed.

Also, I would love it if you would leave in the comments links to your favourite Halloween blog posts on your own blog or someone else’s for me to have a little read!

Halloween Inspired Nail Art: Part Three.

Halloween is less than a week away!

Obviously, I have to have Halloween themed nails over Halloween, so yesterday I went to the salon and had them done especially. I have done some nail designs for Halloween using regular nail polish, but I wanted gel overlays for actually over Halloween so that I wouldn’t have to worry about them and they would last. It would also mean that I could have some Halloween designs that I would not be able to replicate myself.

Orange Eyes and Dark Lips | Halloween.

I love Halloween and while I’m not a big fan of dressing up and costumes, I do love applying makeup. As a result, over the weekend I did some experimenting with makeup to create this Halloween inspired look.

When I think of Halloween, several shocking colours come to mind including bright oranges and deep, dark purples, so those are the colours I focused on incorporating into this look. I had recently bought an orange liquid eyeliner with Halloween in mind and I have an abundance of purple toned lipsticks, so it was no mystery what way round the orange and purple would go…

Scheduling, Supernatural and Shows.

I’m still suffering with some reading struggles at the moment, so I don’t have a book review to post today unfortunately. I just don’t feel like I have enough time to read lately and it sucks. Nevertheless, it’s blogtober, so I couldn’t leave you guys without some kind of blog post. As a result, today I am going to do a life and blog update kind of post because I don’t do those particularly often.

Review: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by J. K. Rowling, John Tiffany and Jack Thorne.

harry-potter-and-the-cursed-childWhen I first heard of the creation of Harry Potter and the Cused Child I was already wary of it. However, it being something related to Harry Potter and connected to Rowling, I knew that no matter what I had to know about it and so, as soon as tickets for the play went on sale I bought tickets. I’m not here to talk about the play though, I have a whole other post on that which you can read here. This time, I am going to be discussing the book.

The book isn’t a novel, it’s a script of the play. Having seen the play before the book came out no surprises were left for me, but that’s okay. No matter which I had come across first, the play would have always been better because that is the medium the story was meant to be told in and because it was a script it missed some amazing parts of the play, although I won’t go into detail about that, #KeepTheSecrets and all.

LUSH: Goth Fairy Shimmer Bar.

Other than bath bombs and a bubble bar, LUSH also released a shimmer bar as part of their Halloween range. I had already picked up all the rest of the Halloween range, so figured that I may as well add this to my basket, plus I loved the smell.

The thought of a shimmer bar didn’t really appeal to me at first, but it has definitely grown on me. I can definitely see myself reaching for this shimmer bar a lot throughout the Christmas season because it makes your skin ever so shimmery, as the name suggests, and the glitter basically gets everywhere.

Lipstick Love: Halloween.

When I wrote my Lipstick Love post last week dedicated to autumnal lip shades, I realised that there are so many I adore that I would have to create another Lipstick Love post. This time I am focusing on Halloween and I’ve included shades that are on the darker end of the spectrum which would be ideal for both Halloween and autumn in general, as well as some more brighter and unusual shades which I would strictly use for Halloween.
