Welcome to Day Four of Collab Week! You can click on days One, Two and Three respectively to see each day of Collab Week thus far as well as an explanation for what it’s all about.
Today I am collaborating with the lovely Lucie from LucieLeannexo who has been mentioned on this blog before when she encouraged me to take part in the Three Minute Makeup Challenge. For our collaboration we settled on each creating posts consisting of five beauty products fellow bloggers have persuaded us to buy.
Makeup Geek eyeshadows:
I am starting off with something Lucie herself had a hand in persuading me to purchase: Makeup Geek eyeshadows. The incredible selection of single eyeshadows they have to offer enables you to completely personalise your own palette which, as you can see, I’ve started to do myself and for a so much more affordable price than, say, MAC eyeshadows at only £4.95 per eyeshadow.
I am absolutely loving these eyeshadows right now with their amazing pigmentation and for those curious the three shades I have are Shimma Shimma, Frappe and Cocoa Bear.
The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer:
I am pretty certain you have all heard of this one! The past few months everyone has been highlighter crazy and I quite recently treated myself to this one which almost every beauty blogger seems to rave about (and the ones who don’t are the ones who are yet to purchase it).
Like the general public, I am in love with this highlighter. I love the packaging, which includes a good sized mirror, the product itself is so pretty and pigmented and I know for sure I’ll be getting plenty of use out of this throughout spring and summer.
LUSH Skindrink facial moisturiser:
Recently I read a blog post on this moisturiser and brilliant timing too because I literally just ran out of my Clinique Moisture Surge moisturiser this morning. Last week I purchased Skindrink and I’ve been slowly using it to replace my Clinique until the latter ran out and the days I have used Skindrink this past week have really made a difference.
I will write a proper review on this product at some point, but let me just tell you: this product is amazing for dry skin. My skin has never felt so soft and hydrated and it just makes me want to touch my face loads, haha. I’m personally not a lover of the smell, but who cares what it smells like if it’s going to work wonders for your skin?!
MAC Velvet Teddy:
If it is wasn’t for many of you bloggers I probably would never have developed an interest in this lipstick, in fact, I probably wouldn’t have developed much of an interest for MAC.
This is certainly my favourite nude lipstick, I love it so much and I am so pleased to have it. It goes with absolutely anything, lasts really long and doesn’t dry your lips out. I am also fairly certain that this lipstick could suit just about anyone!
(Also, I am slightly cheating here. This lipstick was a present; however, I did choose it myself as I wanted it so much, hehe.)
Zoeva 102 Silk Finish brush:
Zoeva is another one of those brands I hadn’t heard of before blogging, but now everyone is in love with their eyeshadow palettes which I still have yet to try. Nevertheless, the brand has impressed me thus far with their 102 Silk Finish brush which is amazing at applying foundation.
I get my foundation done so quickly now compared to when I was using my Real Techniques Expert Face brush; the Silk Finish is just splendid at blending everything into the skin properly and evenly without leaving brush strokes. I love it.
These are my five beauty products which bloggers made me buy (although I can assure you that the list could go on for longer). As a result, I am sure you are all itching to see more which you can do so by heading over to Lucie’s blog where you can read about five products bloggers made her buy!
What products have you bought after seeing bloggers writing about them?

P.S. Last night I created a Pinterest account for my blog which you can follow here!
I love that we both picked Velvet Teddy & Mary-Lou! I’m so glad you got some MUG shadows too as they are amazing.
Really enjoyed doing this collab, we should definitely do a YouTube collab soon too!

Love all your picks! I really want to swatch Mary-Lou but I don’t know if anyone sells it in NZ lol. Highlighter intimidates me a bit to be honest, I’m not sure it would work with my freckles.

Thank you! Aw, I had to buy it online as while we sell it there don’t seem to be any counters where you can swatch the products. If you’re not sure about highlighter in general though I’d try out a drugstore one first before splurging. Can you order Makeup Revolution in NZ? Their cheek and eye products are amazing!

Yes Makeup Revolution ship here, I’ve been looking at their Goddess of Love highlighter but shipping is quite expensive so I’d rather make the purchase worthwhile and just buy one thing haha.

Oh right, that’s annoying! Persuade a friend to buy it and then you can swatch it ;-).

Sorry that last comment should have been “make the purchase worthwhile rather than buy one thing”. If there are any products you recommend I could add them to my cart to justify the cost of shipping 😉 x

I definitely recommend any of their eyeshadow palettes, some of them are great dupes for Naked palettes, Too Face palettes and even Lorac palettes! I also love their Ultra Contour palette.

I was looking at the Iconic palette which is a dupe for the original Naked palette. I’ve kind of already got dupes for Naked 2 and 3.

You’ve made me want to start doing collabs now, there so fun! I love this post! Since blogging and watching YouTube I have bought so many things purely because other people have recommended them! I’d love to try out Zoeva, their brushes and eyeshadow palettes look incredible! The Balm highlighter is also on my shopping list, it looks stunning! That Lush moisturizer sounds fab, I’ve never heard of that one before but I can imagine it leaving your skin luscious!!!

You definitely should, it’s such a great way to interact more with bloggers and share your ideas. If you’d like someone to collab with feel free to drop me an email! Yes, bloggers and Youtubers definitely have a massive influence over what I buy. I really need to try a Zoeva palette but there’s so many I don’t know which I want first! It is so moisturising! And my foundation sits lovely on top of it too!
