February Book Haul.

Another month, another stack of new books. This month I have  bought four books which is probably my average amount of books per month and I hate to say it, but it’s probably enough as it has brought me to a total of twenty-four books on my bedside table. Oops.

This month I have bought:

• Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins.
• The Sleeping Prince by Melinda Salisbury
• The Infinite Sea by Rick Yancey.
• Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs.

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins:

I have been eager to read this book for such a long time now. It has been talked about a lot and talked about positively. Also, I absolutely love the covers of all of Perkins’ books. I really hope I enjoy this so I can buy the other two with their pretty covers, haha!

As always with my book hauls, I will supply you with the Goodreads synopsis since I can’t summarise the book myself for you:

Anna has everything figured out – she was about to start senior year with her best friend, she had a great weekend job, and her huge work crush looked as if it might finally be going somewhere… Until her dad decides to send her 4383 miles away to Paris. On her own.

But despite not speaking a word of French, Anna finds herself making new friends, including Etienne, the smart, beautiful boy from the floor above. But he’s taken – and Anna might be too. Will a year of romantic near-missed end with the French kiss she’s been waiting for?

The Sleeping Prince by Melinda Salisbury:

The Sleeping Prince is the sequel to The Sin Eater’s Daughter. Due to it being a sequel I am obviously going to insist that you read the first book first which I quite enjoyed and have a review for here, also feel free to check out the author’s blog too!

After reading the first book I had quite a while to wait for the second, but the whole like, month leading up to it’s release I actually got really excited for it and just look at the gorgeous cover!

Because of the fact that this is a sequel, I also will not provide an overview due to potential spoilers! However, here is a Goodreads link in case you are interested.

The Infinite Sea by Rick Yancey:

Another sequel! The Infinite Sea is the sequel to The Fifth Wave which is now a movie. I have yet to read the book still, although I have read the first two pages and I like the writing on them already, so I am expecting to like it. At least I really hope I do now that I’ve got the second book in the series! I also cannot wait to read it because I really want to watch the movie, but obviously I’m waiting until I’ve read the book first.

Unfortunately, since I haven’t yet read The Fifth Wave I am unable to provide a review for that either, but there will hopefully be one coming to this blog soon.

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs:

This is a book I would never have looked at twice if it wasn’t for BookTube and I’m glad that I finally picked it up. I was also able to get this book basically for free because Waterstones have a stamping system where you get a stamp for every £10 you spend and once you have ten stamps you get a £10 gift card to spend, so I chose to spend it on this book.

I have seen so much love for this book around the internet and really cannot wait to give it a try!

Oh, and I can actually tell you some more about this book since it’s not another sequel. However, there are a further two books as it’s the first in a trilogy. Anyway, here is the Goodreads synopsis:

A mysterious island. An abandoned orphanage. A strange collection of curious photographs.

A horrific family tragedy sets sixteen-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the crumbling ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.
