Everyday Makeup Favourites.

“Beneath the makeup and behind the smile I am just a girl who wishes for the world.” – Marilyn Monroe.

As a massive makeup lover I am going to share my top five makeup products for today’s Friday Favourites. These five products are ones which I wear everyday and feel that I cannot live without.

I am one of those people who always wears makeup. I wear it if I’m home all day, I wear it if I’m ill, I wear it in the blazing heat. Makeup brings me comfort and confidence; it makes me feel human and awake.

However, there are days, such as this week where the weather has reached thirty degrees and I don’t want to wear all of my makeup. On these days I have five essential products which I always use no matter what.

wake me up concealerRimmel Wake Me Up Concealer. I use two concealers when I do my makeup for different parts of my face. This concealer is very light and brightening so I like to use it under my eyes. Additionally, I also use it as a highlighter.

I think that this concealer definitely lives up to the name “Wake Me Up” and it’s one I have purchased multiple times in the past though it does last long. I did I also try the foundation which matched this concealer, but it’s not my favourite although that it a whole new post for the future.

collection lasting perfection concealerCollection Lasting Perfection Concealer. I have used several concealers before and this is my favourite. The formula is great for covering blemishes and while they do not have a great range of colours, there is one which is perfect for me. I use the shade cool medium which is the second shade. Furthermore, I like the packaging and how you apply the product as it is easy to ensure that none goes to waste. I also use it under my lipstick and it makes it last so much longer and the colour looks so much better.

bourjois liner feutreBourjois Liner Feutre. I also use two eyeliners every day, one to line the top and another to line the waterline. This is my favourite eyeliner for my eyelid. I haven’t tried many different brands for this type of eyeliner, but I definitely prefer it to the Rimmel London ScandalEyes Precision Micro Eye Liner and have never felt the need to seek out other brands who sell the same type of product. This eyeliner is also available in several colours though of course Ultra Black is my favourite. The pen makes the product easy to apply and I found it lasts a long time; when it does start drying out a bit I dab it into a bit of water to help it last. It also lasts well on the eye, but it possibly isn’t the best in really hot weather.

Bourjois Contour Clubbing Eyeliner. This is the second eyeliner I use and I put it on my waterline. I have always struggled to find a good eyeliner for this area and out of several I have tried this is one of my favourites as it lasts the longest.

This eyepencil also comes in a variety of bright colours. I have Ultra Black and Blue Remix (on the right). The formula is also so good that you can even apply it on your top lid nicely.

roller lashBenefit Roller Lash Mascara. I know I included this in a favourites post only two weeks ago, but it is my favourite mascara now and if I am going to talk about my five favourite products then a mascara has to be in there somewhere. If you are interested in seeing the post I previously mentioned this mascara in please click here.

Those are my five everyday makeup favourites which I use without fail. What are yours?

I’d love to try the collection lasting perfection concealer but I don’t think it’s sold here in America. Maybe I’ll have to order it! Great post. If you’d like I would love if you checked out my blog! xx

I don’t really use make-up at all – just a lip balm and powder but I think it’ll be nice to know what brands I could use in the future when I decided to finally try putting on make-up. Also helps when I read about how to actually use it. This helps, thanks. By the way, have you tried the lipsticks that are Harry Potter inspired? I also heard of the new Star Wars make-up collection. 🙂

Love this post! I just discovered the Collection 2000 concealer and I am SO impressed. I didn’t like the Rimmel Wake Me Up as much but it was still a good find! The Benefit Roller Lash has been on my wishlist forevvvverrrr and I still don’t have it! Need to sort out my priorities – obviously xxx
